Brazilian Surprise
Sambazon Acai (ah-sigh-ee) tastes like a vibrant blend of berries and
chocolate and is a great way to supplement your healthy diet. Wild
harvested in the rainforest, this all natural fruit from Amazon
palmberries has incredible health properties. Hidden within its royal
purple pigment is a powerful comdination of antioxidants ( more than
blueberries), high quality protein (amino acids) and EFAs (Omegas 6
& 9).

1- 3.53 oz packet of Sambazon Acai
1 heaping Tbls. Country Choice organic oatmeal
1 ripe organic banana
1 tsp Barleans organic flax seeds or flax seed oil
4 oz organic Apple Juice
1 oz Breadshop strawberry granola
3 ice cubes

Blend until smooth, sprinkle with granola and enjoy. |
Vegetarian Chili
This recipe serves 6-8. It's even better heated the second time or frozen.

1- 16 oz can organic black beans, drained
1- 16oz can organic kidney beans, drained
2 cups Bob's T.V.P.
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 large cans of Organic Bionature crushed tomatoes
1 organic green pepper, chopped
1 large organic onion, chopped, plus some for garnish
3 cloves organic garlic, pressed
3 tbsp. Frontier chili powder
1/2 tsp. Frontier pwd. cumin
1 Frontier bay leaf
1 tsp. Frontier oregano
1 bunch of organic cilantro, chopped.

Put T.V.P. in large saucepan pour in 4 cups of boiling water and cover for 5 minutes.
Put saucepan on stovetop, pour in olive oil, turn on med high heat. Add
onion, green pepper and garlic, saute for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes,
cumin, chili powder, bay leaf, oregano and 1/2 cilantro. Bring to a
boil, cover and reduce to a simmer for 1 hour. Scoop into a bowl and
garnish with reserved onion and cilantro.
Serving suggestions: use no fat plain organic yogurt instead of sour cream. |
